🕊 About Venerable Aloysius Schwartz

Venerable Aloysius Schwartz (1930–1992) was an American Catholic priest and missionary who dedicated his life to serving the poorest of the poor, especially in South Korea, the Philippines, and Mexico. After experiencing poverty firsthand during his formation, he felt a profound call to serve those most in need.

He founded the Sisters of Mary and established homes, schools, and care centers for orphaned and impoverished children. Through his tireless work, thousands of children received education, shelter, and hope for a better future.

Despite suffering from a debilitating illness later in life, he continued his mission with courage and trust in God. In recognition of his heroic virtues, he was declared “Venerable” by the Church, marking an important step toward possible canonization.
